What are verrucas and how can I tell if I have one?
Verrucas are a type of wart that are found on the bottom of the feet. They tend to grow deep within the skin and appear as thicker skin with a hard edge and soft centre. You can have a single verruca or a cluster of verrucas together.
They feel rough to touch and may have tiny black dots in the centre, which are the result of blood clots that have occurred in the tiny blood vessels.

We inject the local anaesthetic underneath the verruca and around it. The tissue on the verruca is then punctured and broken down using a very fine needle.
