Overview

Many patients are now choosing to use a private GP in Leicester.

Including private GP services within The One Clinic’s provision helps patients access high quality care from a trained doctor that is efficient and can give you longer appointment times. All our doctors appear on the GMC register, and have many years experience working in the medical sector, as well as within General Practice.

Private General Practice Doctor in Leicester: What to expect

Our GP consultations can range from 15 – 60 minutes, depending on what you need to discuss. This is a private session between you and your doctor, and all conversations are treated in the strictest of confidence. We can carry out the consultation in person, over the phone or on-line; whichever method is more convenient for you – however, for certain concerns, we may ask that you see us in person.

We take each case on an individual basis and the advice / treatment options we suggest are in your best interests, based on your concerns. As well as providing an opportunity for you to discuss issues surrounding your general health and well-being, our Private GP Services extend to end-of-life care, liaising with any other professionals and organisations is needed.

Your treatment plan will consider the methods and options available, and our doctors can prescribe the relevant medications. If a patient is house-bound for whatever reason, we will ensure our services can be brought to you. Our doctors will make house-calls for patients who are unable to make their own way to the clinic.

FAQ

Who is suitable for Private GP services?

We will consider anyone for our Private GP Services. For more information, and our price list, please contact the clinic.

What are the benefits?

When you undertake a Private GP service you are likely to be able to access the doctor more rapidly, and appointment times are longer (around 30 minutes for one concern). We can book 60 minute appointments if you need more time with your doctor.

Will I always see the same practitioner?

Like an NHS practice, you will be assigned to one doctor for GP services. We take every step to ensure you will see this practitioner on each visit, however, you may be able to see someone else if necessary (or in an emergency). The One Clinic has a team of professionals that work together very closely, and you are likely that in time, all our practitioners will be familiar to you.

Will all appointments be at The One Clinic?

Our Private GP appointments are carried out on The One Clinic’s premises. This may be in person with the doctor, or virtually on-line if this is preferred and does not require a face-to-face examination.

Will I need to visit the clinic regularly?

If your consultation suggests coming back to the clinic, this will be explained on your initial visit. Otherwise, you can feel free to book in with your doctor when any issues arise.
