Dr Kodivalasa has extensive experience in the management of chronic pain conditions including back pain, neck pain, joint pains, headaches, facial pain, abdominal pain, pelvic pain, neuropathic pain, chronic post-surgical pain, complex regional pain syndrome and widespread pain.

Dr Kodivalasa sees patients in the outpatient clinic for a comprehensive assessment. Patient tailored pain management is his forte. He is an expert in pain medicine including interventional management.

His areas of special interest include ultrasound guided interventional procedures. He is equally and highly skilful in fluoroscopy (X-Ray) guided procedures.

Dr Kodivalasa completed his training in the United Kingdom as a specialist trainee in anaesthetics. He has also undergone a dedicated fellowship training programme in pain medicine.

Dr Kodivalasa received personnel commendation from the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Royal College of Anaesthetists. He was awarded the prestigious FFPMRCA (Pain Medicine) Examination Prize for his excellent performance and for scoring highest in the country.

Dr Kodivalasa is working as a consultant in anaesthetics and pain medicine in The University Hospitals of Leicester – NHS Trust, United Kingdom since 2018.

Dr Kodivalasa is the lead for Pain Service in The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and has successfully steered many innovative projects.

Dr Mahesh Kodivalasa is the founder director of many innovative and highly reputed national and international pain courses attended by the delegates from the UK and abroad. He also has co-authored two textbooks.
